Peacefully at his home in Cobourg on Saturday, November 19th, 2016. James Henry Burnett was the beloved husband of Mary Irene Burnett (nee Bradshaw). Dear father of Paige and grandfather of Georgia “Peach” and Carling “Redcap”. Also missed by his cousin, with whom he was raised, Lois Ann Wolfe (nee Gracie) and her children Karen Wolfe, Lori Pike, and Mark Wolfe. Predeceased by his parents John Burnett and Olive Burnett (nee Croft). Following cremation, a Mass of Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at St. Michael’s Church, (corner of University Avenue & Division Street in Cobourg) on Thursday, November 24th, at 2 pm with visitation to be held for one hour prior to the Mass at the church from 1 to 2 pm on Thursday. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Following interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, refreshments will be served at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King Street East in Cobourg. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
