Mavis Ethel Florence George (nee Bray)

Mavis entered into rest in her 94th year on March 20, 2016 at Extendicare Cobourg with her loving family by her side.  Predeceased by her husband Eldon in 1973.  Dear friend and companion for many years to Allan Norris.  Loving mother to Eva Ann (John) and devoted Nan to Dale (Jane) and Lindsey and great Nan to Curtis and Noah.  Mavis is predeceased by her five siblings.  Special aunt to Helen Ann and the late Wayne Parker.  Also survived by nieces and nephews.  Mavis was a long time member of Roseneath United Church and life member of Roseneath Women Institute.  She was voted Citizen of the Year of Alnwick-Haldimand Twp. in 2008.  A private family burial will take place at Baltimore United Church Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Roseneath United Church or Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by the family.
