Joan Wakeman

Peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on February 25th, 2016 in her 90th year.  Beloved wife of Thomas Wakeman.  Loving mother of Roger (Linda), Elizabeth Kennedy (Paul), Alison Carlson (Gil) and Amanda Trask (Brent).  Dear grandmother of Lisa, Adam, Tom, Philip, David, John, Rebecca, Stephanie and Michael and great grandmother of Cameron, Tristan, Maya, Ronan, Liam, Aiden, Adelyn, Paige and Benjamin.  Joan is pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters and lovingly remembered by her niece Ann Hill.  Friends are invited to call at the Cobourg Alliance Church, 1333 Ontario St., Cobourg on Sunday February 28th from 2-4 pm., followed by a funeral service at 4 pm.  Private family interment in Port Hope Union Cemetery.  If desired donations may be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit.  The Wakeman family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit and Janice Buck for all their care and compassion.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
