Cora Evelyn Mae Freeman (Voteary)

May 2, 1920 - February 11, 2016

With family at her side, Cora (nee Anglin) died peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Streamway Villa, Cobourg at the age of 95.  She was the cherished wife of the late Leslie Freeman and the late Arthur Voteary.  She was dearly loved by her daughters and their families: Mary Anne Voteary; Shirley and John Gilham, and children Todd and Denise (Sophie, Abrielle), Leanne and Andrew Daniels (Kayleigh, Lochlan); Marilyn and Michael Matthews, and children, Rachel and Matthew Belton (Matthew Hockley); Stephen and Amberley Hockley (Ella); Elizabeth Hockley and Vash Sant; Sharon and Peter Van Essen, and children Daniel and Jenica (Elliot, Arie), Rebecca and Ryan Gaytan (Adan, Katherine). Cora was the youngest born to Edward and Hannah Anglin.  She is predeceased by all her siblings and their spouses: Essie and Robert Boston, Fletcher Anglin, Olive and Barclay Warren, John Anglin, Myrtle and Jim Woodland, Ruby and Arnold Phillips, Walter and Minerva Anglin. Cora loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends as well as the Voteary and Freeman families. Cora alongside her husband, Arthur, made a great team as together they pastored churches in Metcalf, Belfast, Ireland, Watertown, New York, Shawville, Quebec, Hamilton, Odessa, Uxbridge and Frankford. Cora had often said there were many wonderful people in everyplace they had lived.  She also enjoyed and made many great friends when she lived in Belleville. Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg, Ontario on Monday, February 15 from 12 noon – 2 p.m.  Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.  Reception to follow.  Private interment will take place in Battersea.  Those wishing may make donations to the Free Methodist Church in Canada - Global Missions (by cheque to FMCIC - Global Missions) or a charity of your choosing.
