Passed peacefully at her home on Monday, November 30, 2015 on her 79th birthday. Mae was born November 30, 1936 in Ocean Falls, BC. She married Richard Masaaki Ito in 1961. Mae was the cherished mother of Stephen (deceased), Robert (Kris), David (Mary) and Christopher. Loving Bachan to four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tadashi, Alex and Rianna. Dear sister of Betty (Alan) Bruton and Amy (David) Kato. Sister-in-law to Kate (Harry) Nagata, Don, Bill (Patty) and Phil (Sandy). Mae was very much involved in her community: Kinette Life Member, Paul Harris Fellow, Red Cross Blood Donor Chair, President for 30 years of the CDCI West Band Parent/Athletic Association. She received the International Award of Distinction for Beta Sigma Phi and a Service to Youth Award. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were legendary as were her blueberry pies! Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, King Street East, Cobourg on Thursday, December 3 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg on Wednesday, December 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or to St. Peter's Anglican Church.
