Norman A. McLean

Norman passed peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, in Cobourg, on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the age of 99. Born in Calgary, October 2, 1915 to Wilfred Thomas McLean and Elizabeth Adeline Bothwell.  Norman served from the fall of 1939 - 1945 with the Royal Montreal Regiment, the 18th Canadian Armoured Car Regiment and the British First Army in North Africa. Upon his return from service, Norman completed his studies at Queen's University before joining Merck and Company and then the Canadian National Railway, retiring in 1977. Norman, beloved husband of the late Audrey Pinder (died 1976) and the late Isabel Anderson (died 2006).  Loving father of Jane Chene (Guy) and Tom McLean (Judy).  Proud and loving Grandpa to Meagan, Kaitlin and Sarah McLean. Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg, on Thursday, July 30 at 2 p.m. with visiting one hour prior.  Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or The Salvation Army.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
