Maria Martha Hartwig (nee Eichler)

Fondly known as Oma, Maria was the glue that kept the family together.  Her graciousness, good humour, together with keeping the family traditions, she had an impact on all of us. She was the gold standard for what a good life should be.  Maria passed peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the age of 87.  Beloved wife of the late Otto Robert Hartwig, loving mother of Petra Hartwig (Tony Pitts) and Peter Hartwig.  Cherished but sorely missed grandmother of Judith Barta, Barbara Inthavixay (John), Andrea Thomas, Ashley Hartwig, Jade Hartwig, Dustin Hartwig, and great grandmother of Piper, Bridget,  Cadance, Scarlet, Clark, Austin and Audrey.  Dear sister of Charlotte Seehof (the late Gunther), and aunt of Monika, Mario and the late Michael.  Extended family included great niece Katrin, Sophie and Stephan. At Maria’s request there will be a private family service to be held in July.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Northumberland Hills Hospital is appreciated.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
