James MacLean

After a prolonged illness, James MacLean passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2015 in his 87th year.  He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Johan, and loving daughters Shona and Barbara-Anne.  Mourned and fondly remembered by his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law (in Scotland, England and Canada), son-in-law Bill, and his nieces and nephews.  Pre-deceased by his two sisters (Mary and Frances) and brother (Alec).  Born in Fort William, Scotland, James and Johan raised their family in Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec, and retired to Cobourg, Ontario, making many wonderful new friends.  James worked for Air Canada for almost 34 years, engaged in his passion for aviation.  Thank you to the staff at the Golden Plough Lodge for their compassion and kindness to James and family.  A private family funeral was held, with a memorial gathering to occur at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Condolence messages can be received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
