In loving memory of David Charles Hunter, a hard-working man, known for his plastered intricate ceiling designs. He could play a mean game of checkers, he loved to fish, and enjoy the songs from Stompin’ Tom. He loved taking his grandchildren camping, and stopping for ice cream along the way. But most of all, he had a real knack for story-telling and impromptu sing-alongs, two arts he truly perfected. David passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 82 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband to Patricia (nee Flindall) his wife of 60 years. Loving father of Rosemarie Anderson (Gord), Helen Mitchell (Mike), David Hunter (Marjorie), Cathy Dewey (Rick), Jean Sage (Bob), Jack Hunter and Mary Hunter. Proud grandfather of Christine (Rob), Cindy (Joel), Amanda, Gillian, Melissa (Jeremy), Tyler, Danielle (Noel), Michelle, Chantelle, Tony (Shawna), Jasmine and Amber. Proud great grandfather of Ethan, Bryce, Owen, Kyrah, Taylor, Kamryn, Raylea, Kai, Chayse, Noxx, Samantha, Benjamin, Mason, Shayne and Lucas. Brother of Gordon Hunter (Shirley), and Joan Giddings (Howard). Pre-deceased by his brothers James Sinclair and Jack Hunter and sisters Jean Peard and Doreen Sasseville. Son of the late John Neil Hunter and Joan Leslie (nee Sinclair). A private family interment was held on Tuesday April 14th at Cobourg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
