Marlene Carrigan

Peacefully at her home on Thursday September 4, 2014 at the age of 77.  Loving mother of Scott (Corrie) and Heather (Rob).  Proud grandmother of Liam and Courtney.  She will be sadly missed by Stewart, McKenzie, and many other family and friends.  Marlene was born in the Whitby/Oshawa area, the daughter of George and Clara Scott, at one time the family operated what was considered the largest egg production plant in Ontario.  Marlene and family made Cobourg home in the early 1970’s for many years before moving to Colborne when she found her little piece of paradise on the shores of Lake Ontario.  She lovingly renovated a small cottage which she enjoyed for many years.  Marlene was a winter Texan; never a cold weather lover, she fell in love with a little town called Donna, Texas and made it home for the winter months.  Marlene was a long-time member of Alpha Lambda, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  Friends will be received at MacCoubrey Funeral Home 30 King St. E. Cobourg on Wednesday September 10, 2014 from 2-4pm.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of Choice.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com .
