Passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Thursday August 21, 2014 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Spalding). Loving father of Karen. Brother of Frances Brown (late Ross) and Mary Sleeman (Gordon). Predeceased by his sisters Patricia Teggart and Betty Beebe (Floyd) and his brother Robert Begg. Will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. David is a decorated veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force and a 40 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A service will take place on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 2 pm with visitation from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Church 240 College St, Cobourg. Services have been entrusted to MacCoubrey Funeral Home 30 King St E, Cobourg. If desired, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Church or a Charity of Choice.
