Carol departed this earth peacefully, after a brief illness, with her loving daughter Wendy at her bedside. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Peter, after 23 years apart. Carol was a gracious lady of great determination and strength. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, orphaned as a teenager, studied pre-med at Vassar – she met Peter in Muskoka and moved to Canada to marry. Loving mother to Chris (Louise), Sean (Jane), Liam (Becky) and Wendy. Proud gran to Colin (Caroline), Cheryl, Cameron, Chevon (Phil), Nicholas, Liann and Sarah (Jim). Very proud great-gran to Ethan, Oliver, Pippa, Tate and Aubrey. Predeceased by her younger brother Howard and his sons Howard Jr. and Blake. Their retirement adventure took them to Grafton from Toronto for the country life, where she took up farming sheep, goats, ducks and her prize Easter egg hens. Carol immersed herself in community groups and made many friends from all walks of life. She will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15that 11 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, Grafton with a reception following in the church hall.
