(Sports reporter extraordinaire) Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Sunday December 8th, 2013 in his 77th year. Dear son of the late William & Kathleen Dodge. Loving brother of William Dodge (Barb) and the late Ron Dodge. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Mindy (Bill), Dave (Angela), Devin (Jen) and Katie and great nieces and nephews. Layton will be fondly remembered for his dedication to reporting sports in Cobourg and the surrounding area for many years. At Layton’s request there will be a private graveside service at Cobourg Union Cemetery. A funeral service will be held in Trinity United Church on Thursday December 12th at 1 pm. Also a celebration to celebrate Layton’s life will be held at the Cobourg Community Centre at a later date. If desired donations may be made to Jump Start or charity of your choice.
