HANNIGAN, Helen Irene– It is with sad and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Helen, on Saturday August 31, 2013, at Toronto General Hospital. Beloved wife of William “Robert” Hannigan. Loving mother of Donna May, Brian Mark, Paul James, and Craig Robert. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin, Kassandria, Jennifer, Mark, Sarah, Julie, Cynthia, Heather and Lisa. Great-grandmother of Dustin, Michael, Megan, Terjee, Nyla, Scarlett, Thomas, Mason, Lynkin. Helen is survived by her dear sister Mildred (Barton). Sister-in-law of Denny (Bernice), the late Thomas (Teresita), Madelyn and the late Ronald. She will be missed by her extended family, her dear friend Anna, and many other friends. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.  Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation and the family would like everyone to consider signing their Trillium Gift of Life card. The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Helen Irene Hannigan in her 80th year at Toronto General Hospital on August 31, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of, William (Robert) Hannigan of 60 years. Her children Donna (Taff), Brian (the late Shawn), Paul (Miriam), and Craig. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Heather, Sarah, Benjamin, Julie, Lisa, Kassandrea and Cynthia. Great-grandmother of Dustin, Terjee, Michael, Megan, Nyla, Lynkin, Mason, Scarlett and Thomas. Helen is survived by her dear sister Mildred (Barton). Sister-in-law of Denny (Bernice), the late Thomas (Teresita), Madelyn and the late Ronald. She will be missed by her extended family, her dear friend Anna, and many other friends. Helen was a long term serving executive assistant for LACAL Industries. She volunteered, provided goods and services to those in need, continuing the tradition from her parents and paying it forward to the next. Retiring to Rice Lake playing endless board games, card games, singing songs around the camp fire with family and friends, were her most rewarding activities. Cremation has taken place. Visitation is at 10:00am on Sat, September 14 2013 with a memorial service starting at 11:00am at MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St. E.
