George Albert Barefoot

April 5, 1934 - April 28, 2013

Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Sunday, April 28th, 2013, George Barefoot at 79 years of age.  Loving husband of Ruth Barefoot (nee McCracken).  Dear father of Lynn Egan (Bradley) and Gary Barefoot (Donna).  Cherished grandfather of Blair, Leslie, Curtis, and Robyn. Brother of Vic Barefoot (Mae), Marlene Edwards, and brother-in-law of Keith Waldick (Evelyn), the late Grace Free (the late Bill).  Predeceased by his faithful companion Queenie.  A Memorial Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Saturday, May 4th at 3:30 pm with a reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre .   The Barefoot family would like to thank Dr. Forbes, Dr. Moorsom, and the nursing staff of the NHH Palliative Care Unit and Chemo Clinic for their care and compassion.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial contribution by cheque to NHH –Palliative Care Unit.
