At Cobourg, Ontario on March 5, 2013, a few days short of her 104th birthday, beloved wife of the late Evan Benjamin Rogers, mother of David Rogers (Jennifer), Cobourg, grandmother of Jennifer Rogers Ingham (Wayne Ingham), Kingston, and Emily Rogers Swanson, (Duff Swanson), Geelong, Australia, and great-grandmother of Paige and Evan Ingham, and Olivia Swanson. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Murdoch D. Morrison and Mrs. Katie Morrison, Halifax, and sister of the late Mabel Morrison, Raleigh, North Carolina; the late Dr. Clarence N. Morrison, Halifax; and the late Gertrude Hiseler, Peterborough. She was a devoted wife, a loving parent and grandparent, and a good and loyal friend. Her academic training was in music which remained a lifelong passion. As the wife of a Foreign Service officer she spent many years abroad and lived in eight different capitals. She represented Canada with distinction and grace and was noted for her skill in managing social relationships. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Church, 82 Kent Street (84 Kent St. for elevator access), Ottawa, on Tuesday, March 19, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends in the Arthur Currie Room following the service.
