Mary Elsie Elizabeth Morgan (Nee Ross) February 21. 1923- January 1, 2013 Our dear Mother, Mary lived her life fully until January 1, 2013 in her 90th year. She passed peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care unit surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her four children Susan Fox, Dawn Torgerson (Martin Torgerson), Paul Fox ( Cindy) and Janet Fox ( Shayne Arnaud). Beloved Nana Mare to Erin and Brandyn Fox, Krista and Elliot Wunsch, Dylan and Jordan Torgerson and Acassia Arnaud. We were all the light of her life. Predeceased by her parents Hazel and Hugh Clark Ross and her brother Donald. Predeceased by her husbands Norman Henry Fox and Paul Ducharme. Survived by her youngest sister Betty Vincent. (Little Wee) and her three sons Jimmy, Ross and Brian and their families. Mary was a creative entrepreneur who owned clothing boutiques in Quesnel, British Columbia, Guelph and Waterloo Ontario. Mary had a very keen sense of style and sophistication. She found beauty in all around her. Mom was a force of life for all of us. She had a great impact and influence in all our lives. She was an eternal giver and offered help to those around her in need. She was optimistic, tenacious, feisty, energetic, passionate and compassionate. She had an incredible strength of character throughout all aspects of her life. She never lived within the confines of tradition or expectations of her era or gender even until her last breath. Love was her guide. A Celebration of mom’s life will be held at St. Peters Anglican Church Chapel on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at 12 noon. A reception of thanks will also be held following the church service at the Palisade Gardens Retirement Residence. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Cobourg or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
