(Veteran WWII) Peacefully at Extendicare in Port Hope on Friday, December 7th, 2012, George Lawrence at 97 years of age. Dear husband of Goldie Lawrence (nee Boomhour). Cherished father of Peggy Barnes (Levi), Phyllis Babineau (Alfred), Angie Hird (Dan), Gwen Lawrence, Fred Lawrence (Grace), and Linda Lake. Loving grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings Bill, Art, Albert, Fred, Grace, and Ivy. A visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Wednesday, December 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Members of the Cobourg Legion Branch #133 will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:45pm for a Legion walk through immediately prior to visitation.
