It is with deep sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Rose, at NHH on April 18, 2012, after a brief illness. Rose began her spirited journey in Belfast, in 1930, and landed in Cobourg via Montreal in 1955 to begin her Canadian life with husband, Don Todd ( 1993). Residing this past year at Palisade Gardens, Cobourg. She was a feisty, spirited; individual who was always topical, and seldom politically correct. Her hearty laugh and black Irish humor endeared her to many. Her joys included hours of reading lengthy novels, pouring over daily newspapers in front of any muted sports event, volunteering with an extra creamy coffee at the ‘Chuc-a-puc’ Cougars hockey night, shakin’ a leg to big band music, a few hours with a dabber or a one armed bandit, a good wee natter about the ‘Street’, breakfast with friends and long weekends with family. As a tribute to her memory, share a story and a laugh as that is how she would like to be remembered. Those who knew her best will understand that she was a private person. There will be a memorial at future date. Rose will be profoundly missed by Donna, Howie, Kyle/ Andrea, George, Todd, Scott, Taylor/ Darren and Tracey (Duncan, BC., Ella (sister) and David Hamilton (Cannington), Alex (brother) Bonn Curry (Australia), many nieces and nephews and her Belfast family.
