Arthur Alex Simpson

  Simpson, Arthur Alex It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Arthur Alex Simpson, C.E.T., in his 83rd year.  He passed away peacefully on January 16, 2012 at Northumberland Hills Hospital.  He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Sheila, his son Jeremy (Raveena Whelen) and his daughters Meredith (Steve Cole) and Nadine (Rick Hauffe).  All who met Art were impressed with his passion for life and for sharing his knowledge with those around him. A true gentleman, he always thought of others before himself.  Art bravely embraced his many health issues with huge smiles and tremendous inner strength. The family is deeply appreciative of the care given by Dr. Emery, his personal support workers and the staff at NHH - especially those dedicated to Art's care.  In keeping with Art's wishes, following cremation the family is having a private memorial service.  Those wishing may make donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Prostate Cancer Canada or Northumberland Hills Hospital Restorative Care through MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg, 905-372-5132.
