It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Irwin (Ken) Beer at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Friday, July 8, 2011. Ken fought a courageous battle with Mesothelioma, his positive never give up attitude gave us hope as he continued to see something good in each and every day. Ken Beer, in his 62ndyear was the much loved husband of Marli (née Stewart). Dear and proud father of Stewart. Devoted son of Millie Campbell (Ivan) and the late Irwin (Bud) Beer. Dear brother of Garth (Susan) and Dwight (Veronica). Predeceased by his brother Michael. Loved son in law of Alice Stewart and the late Charles. So much more than a brother in law of Clyde (Helen), Karen (Terry), Dale (Ed), Cheryl, Terry (Cathryn) and Neil (Angie). Ken enjoyed the friendship of his many nieces and nephews and the great friends who gave their love and support through this difficult time. He will be missed by all. A Celebration Of Ken’s Life will be held at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Saturday, July 16th at 2 p..m. Friends may reminisce about Ken on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. At Ken’s request, casual dress is suggested. Donations in memory of Ken can be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the R. S. McLaughlin Regional Cancer Centre. Condolences to www.MacCoubrey.com.
