Richard Mandt Homme, beloved son of the late Robert Mandt Homme and Esther Eleanor Homme (nee Anderson), loving partner of the late Eva Marie Hoepfner, devoted father of Meta Roselyn Hoepfner-Homme and Paul Mandt Hoepfner-Homme, proud grandfather of Quanah Willow Kristoff Shotwell, oldest brother to Ann, Ruth and Peter, and supportive uncle to Elizabeth, Hanna, Rebecca and Daniella - after a long illness at Northumberland Hills Hospital on May 6, 2011. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and admired for his heroic strength of spirit. Many will know and appreciate Richard's tireless work for environmental causes - others will think of his brilliant musicianship as a well respected jazz bass player in Toronto. All of us will miss his quick wit, bright mind and Norwegian sense of humor. Donations can be made to Go Green Together, Cobourg, Ontario. Memorial service to be held on Sunday, May 15 from 2pm till 5pm, at Meet at 66 King East, Cobourg, Ontario.
