Spiers, James Gordon (Korean War Veteran) Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Sunday, March 8th, 2009, Jim Spiers at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of Barbara Spiers (nee Gendron). Loving father of Cathy (Roma), Tim (Pauline), Julie (Floyd), and the late Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Jeremy, Rachel, Richelle, Alicia, Joshua, Jessie and great grandfather of Colin, Connor, Brandon, and Jacob. Dear brother of Gerald (Marion), Ricky, Marjorie, Barbara, Linda (Al), Brenda (Jim), the late Billy, and the late Johnny. Predeceased by his parents Dorothy and John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grafton on Wednesday, March 11th at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Grafton. Visitation to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Tuesday, March 10th from 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Grafton Legion Branch #580 will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday evening for a 6:45 pm walk through. Parish Prayers to be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:45 pm.
