Scott J. Fowler

December 4, 1972 - August 1, 2007

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic death of Scott John Fowler, on August 1, 2007, at the age of 34. Scott will be greatly missed by his parents Judy (nee Hunt) and John Fowler, his sister Michelle, her husband Randall, along with his four nephews Ryan, Brandon, Sean, and Eric Kinney. Scott is lovingly remembered by Jimmy, Debbie, Deanna, Julia, and Callan Hunt; Gerry Hunt and David Rayside; Larry, Joan, Brett and Colleen (Shervill) Fowler; Joe, Edna, Jason and Jesse Hunt; Jimmy and Joan Fowler; Bobby, Joyce, Sherry and Karen Fowler; Susan Hunt. Scott is predeceased by his grandparents L. Grace Hunt, Charles Hunt, Hilda and James Fowler, and Aunt Donna McGahey, and will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him. Scott spent many years going to the cottage and enjoying family birthdays and holiday celebrations. He was a very caring and generous person who had a love of animals, and a desire to learn how everything worked. He took great enjoyment and found peace and tranquility sitting on the rocks at the beach, watching the waves crashing into the shore. He spent five years in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, wearing his uniform with great pride, and spending his summers in British Columbia. After high school, Scott went on to Durham College where he graduated from the welder/fitter program. He began working in that field, but then decided to return to school to pursue another passion. He earned his diploma in small engine repair and went on to work at Luke's Mower and Machine for 5 years, and then at Stan's Rent-All for 2 years, all the while running a small repair business from home. Eventually Scott had to stop working due to a combination of syndromes and a brain tumor, but he didn't let that stop him from pursuing yet another interest, computer servicing and repair. Until his death, he had been excelling in his courses, giving him a great sense of accomplishment and pride. He was working towards a new hobby and career when his life ended so suddenly. A service will be held at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Norland, Ontario, on August 10th at 1:00pm, where Scott will be laid to rest beside his grandmother, L. Grace Hunt. If desired, donations in Scott's memory may be made to the Northumberland Humane Society of Port Hope, or The Shelter of Hope in Cobourg. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
