Heffernan, P. John - Surrounded by his family at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Wednesday, July 4, 2007. John Heffernan, in his 70th year, was the beloved husband of Jill Heffernan (nee Schleihauf). Dear father of P. James Heffernan and his wife Trisha Ann of Cobourg and Trisha Elizabeth Watt and her husband Lyndon of Cobourg.. Grandfather of Tyler Heffernan, Holly Heffernan, Tanner Watt, Kiera Watt, Michael Watt and Brandon Watt. Son in law of Marion Schleihauf and brother in law of Jack and Mary Schleihauf of Ottawa. Brother of Barb and Joe Harrington of Picton, Beverly (predeceased) and Norm Craig of Picton, Pat (predeceased) and Bob McClennan of Bridgenorth, Cecila and Albert Jolliffe of Picton, Butch and Sharon Heffernan of Centreton, Fred and Carol Ann Heffernan of Cobourg, Gerard and Lisa Heffernan of Petawawa, Danny and Carol Heffernan of Hastings, Ted Heffernan of Peterborough, Mike Heffernan of Kingston, Bonnie and Lionel Gorsline of Demorestville and David and Debbie Heffernan of Peterborough. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. At John's request, cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of John's life and to offer condolences on Saturday, July 14th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at 613 Norma Street, Cobourg.
