Murdoch, John (Former Member Rameses Shriners) Peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, in Cobourg on Saturday, July 15th, 2006. John Murdoch was the loving husband of Margaret Murdoch (predeceased), dear father of Don Murdoch (Sue Walker) of Bradford, David Murdoch (Sue Gibson) of Carrying Place and Sharon Breithaupt (Ben) of Athens. Grandfather of Peter and Colleen Breithaupt, Hart and Andrew Murdoch. Brother of David Burns (predeceased) of Glasgow, Scotland, Margaret Payce of Kilmarnock, Scotland and Ron Murdoch of Dwight, Ontario. A Funeral Service for John will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Wednesday, July 19th at 2 pm. A private interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery will follow the public service. Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 18th from 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, July 19th from 1 to 2 pm. Comrades of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 133, Cobourg are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 pm for a Legion walk through. Masonic brothers are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday evening for a 7:30 pm Masonic Memorial Service.
