Seale, Homer Walton Theodore At the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Friday June 2, 2006 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Alison (Cross) Seale for 54 years. Dearly loved father of Laurie Vandewater and David Seale (Marilyn). Proud grandfather of Jim Seale, Brian Seale, Stephanie Vandewater and Laura Seale. Brother-in-law of Sheldon Fleming, Jim (Helen) Cross and Mary (Richard) Cross. Uncle of Alison Cross, George Fleming (Cathie). Heather Brooking (John), Tom Fleming (Cindy), Chris Fleming (Lesley), Andrew Cross (Lida) and Bruce Cross. Predeceased by his father Osborne, mother Ethel Marguerite (Marjorie), brother Bernard (Shirley) and sister Vivian Fleming. Homer was a WW II Navy veteran (HMCS Charlottetown), a 69 year member of Calvary Baptist Church, a 45 year member of the St. John's Masonic Lodge #17, a 37 year veteran of the Town of Cobourg Police force (Staff Sergeant) and a fierce competitor with the Cobourg Galloping Ghosts football team. He was a completely honourable man with a sense of humour. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Andrew Emery and staff of Northumberland Hills Hospital for their unstinting compassion and support through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary Baptist Church, Northumberland Hills Hospital or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visitation with the family will be held at Homer and Alison's residence, 2595 Castlehill Drive, Cobourg, on Tuesday June 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service celebrating Homer's life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Wednesday June 7 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception downstairs.
