Promoted to Glory peacefully at the Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg on Friday February 26, 2021, Marie Timberlake (nee Honey) at 94 years of age. Marie will join her beloved late husband of 69 years, the late Douglas Arthur Timberlake. Loving mother of Karen Marshall. Cherished grandmother of Hope and Anne.
Marie was a songbird at heart and was often singing, humming or whistling as she went about her day. Even as her health deteriorated, her cheerful spirit never faltered, she could put a smile on anyone’s face. Deepest gratitude to the staff at the Golden Plough Lodge for taking care of our dear Marie in her last years. We knew she was safe and well taken care of, their kindness will not soon be forgotten.
Well done thy good and faithful servant. In lieu of immediate Celebration of Life, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army or the Golden Plough Lodge Residents Council.
So sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile and her friendliness. She was such a wonderful lady. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Karen.. accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your mother Marie. I have fond memories of good times and laughs we shared on outings and activities at GPL. Sleep softly Sweet Marie.
She always put a smile on my face as well as the faces of everyone around her. She will be missed.
So many happy memories of our Toronto Temple days with both Doug and Marie. The last time I talked to Marie at the Cobourg Corps Marie was unable to remember me. At our age that unfortunately becomes a way of life. The good news is the Lord will never forget Marie as she enters the Pearly Gates and joins Doug. There is no sorrow in God's tomorrow.
So sorry for your loss
