Eldon James Simpson

At Northumberland Hills Hospital on Wednesday June 26, 2013, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of 45 years to Bertha Simpson (nee Wood). Devoted father of Sharon (Tom), Marilyn and Lloyd (Linda). Step-father of Floyd (Judy), Reg (Mary Helen), and Vayda (Don). Grandfather of Ben, James (Meghan), Christine (Stacyn), Heather (Andy), Louise (Matt), Margaret, Jeremy, Lindsay (Marcus), Lorie (Steve), Stacey (Ian) and Adam (Lacey). Dearly missed by his 14 great grandchildren. Eldon is survived by his brother Clark (Ruth), and predeceased by his sister Isobell (the late Joe). He will also be sorely missed by his extended family and many friends. Visitation will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St. E., Cobourg) on Friday June 28, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Service will take place at Fellowship Baptist Church (469 Elgin St. W., Cobourg) on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 11 am. Interment to take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Brighton. The family would like to extend many thanks to Dr. Michael Bayer, as well as the staff at Rosewood Estates, Landmark Assisted Living, and Northumberland Hills Hospital for the kind and compassionate care given to Eldon.
