Passed away peacefully at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice on Friday April 19, 2024 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Babb). Loving father of Pamela (Dave), Mark, and Chad (Tanya). Proud grandfather of Tayla, Tori, Brookelynn, Ainsley, and the late Tyler. Great grandfather of Jaxson, and Brantley. Brother of Joan, and Bob. Remembered by his nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice or a charity of your choice.

Dear Carol and family. So saddened to hear of Harold's passing. I fondly recall the New Years dinners at Aunt Dora's as a youth and listening about his Drag racing adventures with his GTO. Fast forward many years later and we became neighbors, and would always have a wave and horn blast on his way through, sometimes stopping for a quick catch-up on hunting/car adventures. A lovely man who will be missed.🙏

Sincere condolences to Harold's family, I worked with him on several occasions back in the old G.F./Kraft days, he was a great guy. I ran in to him a year or two ago and our conversation immediately centered around hunting and hounds, just like it was 30 years ago. He will be sadly missed by many.

Carol,Pam,Mark,Chad & families. We are sharing your grief for the loss of your husband,father, grandfather and great grandfather. Harold was my "big brother" who showed me the way in experiencing the activities that we both loved to participate in throughout our lives. Up until a few years ago we hunted together for well over 50 years and never missed a year over that period for any reason. With fishing excursions mixed in there at times as well. If it hadn't been for him letting his "little brother"tag along when I was actually too young to participate I may never have grown up to enjoy all of the good times that we shared together later on. He was my brother,my fellow worker at General Foods/Kraft, but most of all a great friend who we will all miss dearly. We would text each other during the leafs games and share our joy or dismay at what was transpiring on that particular night. Harold was one of the good guys and would certainly give assistance wherever and whenever it was needed. Our hearts ache for your loss and for our own loss as well of course. We all have many memories of Harold in our lives and we will have to make a conscious effort to share them with each other occasionally. He is no longer present but will never be absent from our memories. He is at peace now! Thank you to the wonderful staff at Cobourg Hospital and Ed's House Hospice. They were so very caring and compassionate towards Harold and all of his Family members and Friends. Thank you to Dr.Xi and all of the other nurses and doctors. God Bless you all.🙏

What a wonderful friend Harold was for many years. Harold was in our wedding party. Tom worked with Harold at General Foods. We had so many good times over the years with Carol and Harold. We certainly will miss him but knowing he is resting peacefully will help us deal with the loss. We have such great , fun memories. RIP Harold!
