Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital with her family by her side on Wednesday April 24th, 2024 in her 70th year. Loving mother of Gord Ainsworth (Seanna), Amanda Minnie (Bruce) and Megan (Geoff). Cherished Nanny to Dylan, McKenna, Raine (Logan), Kiley, Kashis, Dryden, Avery and the late Jesse and great Nanny to Bentley, Hastings, Elle and Cohan. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Charlie, Susan, Marie (Tom), Pamela (Jim), Yvonne (Dan) and the late Joe and Fred. Martha is pre-deceased by her parents Frederick Metcalf and Janet Mousseau (Ronny). Remembered by many nieces and nephews. As per Martha’s wishes cremation has taken place. A service will be held on Saturday May 4th at 1pm at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home 11 King W., Colborne with visiting from 12 noon to 1 pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a bird sanctuary of your choice as her love for birds brought her true joy.

To sweet Martha, it was a blessing to know you. I admired your kind soul and how very genuine you truly were. Till we meet again, rest in peace.
I was very sad to hear of Martha passing. I saw her a while ago and we had the nicest conversation. My condolences to all of her family. Special hugs to Megan, Kiley, Kashis, Dryden and Avery. R.I.P Martha

Gord, Amanda and Megan We are saddened to hear of your mom's passing. Terry and I spent many fun times with her many years ago when Martha and I worked at Complex / Budd. There were three of us girls; Martha, Lori and I, and Terry, that spent many a Saturday afternoon and evening together. We had so much fun taking turns hosting dinner. Martha cooked the best chicken wings ever! We are very sorry we can't make it to the service as Terry's health prevents us from attending.
